Common Mold After-Sales Faults and Quick Troubleshooting Solutions

The most common mold after-sales faults are material jamming and cutting edge damage, often caused by improper customer operation or excessive material impurities. The core of the troubleshooting is rapid troubleshooting and safe cleaning. When material jamming occurs, first instruct the customer to stop the machine and disconnect the power. Forcibly starting the equipment is strictly prohibited. Use specialized tools to clean the mold cavity and cutting edge of waste material and impurities. Check if the mold positioning is off-center. If the positioning is loose, tighten the positioning bolts immediately and adjust the mold position. After cleaning, perform a low-speed test run. Once it is confirmed that there is no jamming, resume normal use. Cutting edge damage manifests as severe burrs on the workpiece and uneven punching. Instruct the customer to replace the cutting edge with a spare, or temporarily grind the damaged cutting edge to restore production immediately. A qualified cutting edge will be replaced on-site later.

Mold deformation and guide post/sleeve jamming are another type of high-frequency after-sales fault, often caused by improper stamping parameters or insufficient lubrication. Die deformation can lead to workpiece dimensional deviations and poor forming. When handling this, first guide the customer to adjust stamping parameters, reducing stamping force and slide speed. If the deformation is minor, it can be temporarily corrected using die-shaping tools. If the deformation is severe, arrange for after-sales personnel to disassemble and repair the die on-site. For guide post and guide bushing jamming, guide the customer to clean oil and impurities from the guide post and guide bushing, apply special lubricant, and check the wear of the guide post and guide bushing. If the wear is severe, replace the parts promptly to prevent further damage to the die.

After-sales handling must balance rapid response and long-term protection, standardizing procedures and minimizing customer losses. Upon receiving fault feedback, immediately guide the customer to troubleshoot simple faults via telephone or video. For faults that cannot be resolved remotely, promptly arrange for after-sales personnel to provide on-site assistance. After the repair is completed, inform the customer in detail of the cause of the fault, operating precautions, and daily maintenance points to prevent similar faults from recurring. Simultaneously, establish an after-sales fault log to record fault types, handling methods, and customer feedback, and regularly optimize die design and production processes.
